Spaghetti and meatballs

spaghetti and meatballs were a staple in my household growing up .. It was cheap and easy and that is why we still make it often..

Most of the time I don’t have time to make my own sauce so make sure you find a sauce you can buy or have on hand ….

Mix the first 6 ingredients in a bowl

add your ground beef

Line a baking sheet with non-stick aluminum foil

Using an ice cream scoop make each meatball

Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees

Bring a large pot of water to a boil adding 2 tablespoons of salt to the water

cook spaghetti noodles according to package

drain pasta and add 2-3 jars of your favorite sauce

then top with meatballs and grated parmesan cheese

Spaghetti and meatballs

1 package of spaghetti noodles cooked according to package

2-3 jars of your favorite spaghetti/marinara sauce

Meatballs (see recipe below)

Mix noodles with sauce

add meatballs and heat on low

top with parmesan cheese and serve.


1/2 cup ketchup

1 cup Italian bread crumbs

2 eggs

1 tsp. each Italian seasoning, garlic salt, ground black pepper

1 clove of garlic minced

1 shallot finely chopped

2 pounds of ground beef (we prefer 90 percent lean ground beef)

Mix the first 6 ingredients in a large bowl

then add ground beef and mix (do not over mix it will make the meat tough)

On a sheet pan lined with non-stick aluminum foil place each meatball scoops with an ice cream scoop

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes (if the meatballs are smaller reduce the time)
